Hydrating the Mells 10K
Glastonbury Spring Water have been proudly supporting and hydrating runners of the Mells 10K for the past three years. The Mells 10K is a charity run to raise money for CLIC Sargent in memory of Ben Crutchley, who was cared for by CLIC Sargent when he developed an inoperable brain tumour. As well as the 10K, there’s also fun runs for children of all ages.
Although the Mells 10K has already taken place this year, you can still donate online and add to the total raised, which currently stands at over £4,000.
Fuelling the Festival Run
The Festival Run is a fun 2k, 5k and 10k run around Pilton and the Glastonbury Festival site, taking in the iconic Pyramid Stage and Stone Circle. We’re proud to have supported the run for the last three years, and we love that the runners are hydrated with spring water from beneath the nearby Glastonbury Tor.
The Festival Run has grown in popularity each year, and this year attracted a record 800 runners. The race is run in aid of two local charities, the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance and the Alzheimer’s Association West of England. The organisers are still doing their sums, but it looks like this year’s event raised even more than the £9,000 donated last year.
Powering an Ironman
Glastonbury Spring Water has also powered our own Ironman, Sales Director David Lem around the exceptionally challenging event in Pembrokeshire. David completed the gruelling 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride and 26.2 mile marathon to fundraise for Macmillan Cancer Support, raising over £1,200 so far.
